Commercial Manager

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead and execute their commercial strategy across the GCC region.


Based in Dubai, this key leadership position will oversee Country Managers, Sales Managers, and Supervisors to drive growth, optimise distributor networks, and ensure operational excellence across all GCC markets.


The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, strong leadership, and an in-depth understanding of the regional pharmaceutical landscape.

Key responsibilities


  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company objectives and regional goals.
  • Drive sales performance, profitability, and market share across GCC markets.
  • Manage distributor relationships, including selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with tender and institutional sales teams to manage pricing, listing, and reimbursement processes.
  • Ensure alignment with Market Access, Regulatory, Marketing, Medical, Supply Chain, and Finance teams for seamless business execution.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to support strategic decisions.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and action plans.
  • Ensure full compliance with local pharmaceutical regulations, ethical standards, and anti-bribery requirements.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and with government or KOL stakeholders.
  • Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing commercial team.


Qualifications and experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related medical field (MBA preferred).
  • 7–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial management within GCC markets.
  • Proven success in distributor management and regional business development.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and financial acumen.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across GCC countries.
  • Collaborative and results-oriented mindset.
